.NET MAUI, the successor to Xamarin.Forms, has quickly become one of the most active projects within the .NET Foundation since its release in May 2022. In this talk, we will take a look at the new features in Microsoft’s latest version of the cross-platform framework, .NET MAUI 8.0. The focus of this new version is on improvements and bug fixes in controls and layouts, as well as optimized memory management. After reviewing these points, the talk will conclude with a discussion on migrating from Xamarin.Forms to .NET MAUI, whose support ends in May 2024. So it’s high time to start the migration!
